Detect surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials. Reliable inspections support safety, quality and asset integrity.
What is Magnetic Testing?
Magnetic Testing (MT), also known as Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), is an NDT method for checking the surface integrity of ferromagnetic materials. By magnetising the material and applying magnetic particles, surface and near-surface indications become clearly visible, enabling rapid evaluation of material integrity, weld quality and material condition.
